Gina Hunt

Gina Hunt creates abstract paintings, sculptures, and site-specific installations as platforms to learn about the complexities of vision and color.  Hunt works extensively with theater scrim, canvas, and wood.  Her process-based works are sites of perceptual phenomena while remaining rooted in a material-based physicality. Recent exhibition venues include STNDRD, St. Louis; 65Grand, Chicago; Chicago Artists Coalition; Alan Koppel Gallery, Chicago; Crisp Museum, Cape Girardeau, Missouri; Drew University, New Jersey; The Franklin, Chicago; Virginia Commonwealth University, Doha, Qatar; Baby Blue Gallery, Chicago; E. Tay Gallery; New York City, and has recently been awarded residencies at Badlands National Park, Hinge Arts, and Chicago Artists Coalition.
